What feels like 5 million years ago [really, 11], I went to high school with Josh. Then, one day last year, I got a call from a bride named Ashley and her mom Cindy saying that they wanted some help with planning a wedding. Fast forward to our meeting, Ashley is gushing about her fiancé and shows me a picture–and i’m like hey, I know Joshhh!!!
Ashley and her mom were dream clients to work with. They started out just wanting help with coordination and ended up trusting me to turn their vision into reality. The theme was traditional fall-fall colors, pumpkins, warm textures… I convinced them to do 3 different centerpieces–arrangements that were less “wedding” and more decor. They also spent a little money to bring in some fabulous linens, chargers, chiavari chairs, and all the little details that really make a wedding stand out. Obviously I was thrilled.
I couldn’t be happier that these two are now married. They compliment each other perfectly, are the sweetest souls, and are both incredibly down to earth. It rained on their wedding day. I’m talking R A I N E D. Still, nothing spoiled the love in the air and the fun that was to be had. Nobody complained that the ceremony had to be moved indoors. In fact, they both ran outside and splashed in the mud for some pictures when the rain let up for a few minutes. Basically, they were pretty awesome clients.
Here are some of the incredible images taken by my fabulous friends Briana and Brian at Macon Photography!
The bride’s bouquet and the invitation set.
Bridal details
Love notes to Ashley, Josh, and her mom.
The girls in the bridal suite.
The guys….got to love a good beard and bout shot too!
Bouquets…feathers, fall colors, and lots of texture!
The gorgeous women.
Baby pumpkins down the aisle with some gorgeous woven chairs.
The ceremony was set by the windows under the overhang in the Woman’s Club…perfect lighting even on a rainy day and a long dramatic aisle!
Bridal portraits on a rain break!!
The bride’s bouquet…my assistant had to pluck one of the feathers in her bouquet as she was about to walk down the aisle. Apparently I need to take the bride’s height into account when making bouquets- my arms were way longer than hers in the trial run. Fail on being a tall beast -__- haha!
Tree slice escort cards.
The gorgeous linens and chargers- I am a texture fiend and these combos were so on point.
The head table. A gutted pumpkin-turned-vase…
Centerpiece #2, Lantern with an arrangement and two gold dipped vases with berries.
Centerpiece #3, a bouquet and a medium arrangement in bark vases.
Ashley and Josh LOVE owls…it’s their thing!!
Thanks to these fine folks for making their day a reality!!
