Jennifer and Graham’s Manteo wedding began with a gorgeous ceremony on the waterfront in Downtown Manteo, NC in the beginning of May. Beth Hamilton photography captured the day perfectly. Here is their story!
I actually went to high school with Jennifer and was extremely excited to hear from her when she began planning her wedding. Her simple but elegant style fit perfectly with her sweet temperament and those characteristics really showed through in the event design! Looking back on the e-mails we shared about the design, I am actually surprised at how spot-on the details were from beginning to end…something that rarely happens over the course of planning a wedding!
The first time Jennifer and Graham saw each other was at their first look…
They are so sweet and so in love and it’s completely evident when looking at their pictures!!
The ceremony was held overlooking the sound in downtown Manteo…a site that was within scenic walking distance from the reception venue, 108 Budleigh.
After the ceremony, the couple had a few more portraits done while the guests headed to the reception.
The personal flowers for the event turned out exactly how we pictured them…organic and subtle.
And the same can be said for the decor and floral design inside the reception venue. When guests entered, they found their seating assignments on this adorable escort card table we created using vintage frames, moss, and flowers.
Inside 108 Budleigh, we had two different centerpiece designs…a rustic box and a trio of milk glass vases.
The cake from Patti Cakes was decorated and showcased perfectly on the balcony overlooking the tables.
Here are a few other details from their wedding day…
Most of the time people have left prior to the exit, but this was one of the most well-attended sparkler exits we’ve seen!
This fall, I actually ran into Jennifer and Graham in Pottery Barn Kids up in Richmond where my husband and I were finally ordering a rocking chair. I casually looked over and noticed tiny little Jennifer sporting the most adorable baby bump!! Turns out they got pregnant on the honeymoon and are expecting a baby boy at the end of January….we actually share the same due date!! I am so excited for the next chapter in their lives and grateful that we were able to reconnect through their wedding. Good luck lovebirds ;)
