HATTERAS WEDDING {Kimberly and Chris}

Kimberly is one of my closest cousins, I literally grew up with her and her sister Holly (we lived right down the street) and consider their family my second family… so I was very involved in the majority of the details on the day of their wedding.  This ceremony (reception is in November) was immediate family only, so being very involved in the event got me a highly coveted invite to the ceremony ;)

I started off as Kimberly and Chris’s engagement photographer (only because they weren’t going to do pictures, I happened to have my camera in Hatteras when they got engaged, and I insisted they have some pictures}…

…moved on as their graphic designer…

…stepped in as makeup artist… (gross picture of me, but the only one of me playing with makeup.  Oh, the the sacrifices I make for this blog…)

…event designer/coordinator/rentals…lots of schedules, vendor communications, and shot lists!

…and ended as photographer so we would have pictures to showcase at the reception!!

Here are some of my favorites from their intimate Hatteras Island ceremony!!

The girls got their hair and nails done at Creative Balance in Hatteras Village.

After the salon, we moved on to their room at the Inn on Pamlico Sound, where the ceremony would be held.  Here’s some pictures of the getting dressed process…

She looks so calm and collected (she really was!) but maybe the wine had something to do with it….?!  ;)

We decided to stay close to the room for bridal portraits…the balcony was perfect!

I headed downstairs to take some pictures of Kathy, Chris (the dad), and Holly…

And then I insisted on a “first look” with her daddy…my uncle Chris!

Finally, it was “go-time” for the ceremony.  Chris walked Kimberly down the aisle and gave her over to the other Chris!

The ceremony overlooked the sound as officiant Meredith Foust began.

After a few readings…

…and a ring warming ceremony…

…they were finally pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Bravar!!  Gahhh they look so happy <3

We took a few family pictures before the family dinner began…

Kathy had a picture of Holly and Kimberly from a while ago where they were holding hands and walking down the dock at their house in Norfolk…so we recreated it!

Love my cousins…and my wine loving aunt ;)

Finally, I took some portraits of Kim and Chris to display at the reception!

I can’t wait for all of our family to be together again in November and to share the reception pictures with you in a few months!!!  For now, here’s a super sneak peek of the details we are working on for the Nov. event!!

XOXO
