A few weeks ago, Style by Design partnered with the Roc Solid Foundation for their annual gala, the Night for the Fight. The event was held at Chrysler Hall, which was a welcomed fancy upgrade from last year’s Sports Hall of Fame.
Cocktail hour was held on the balcony overlooking the pool. We had high cocktail tables adorned with tree slices, flowers, and pictures of the gorgeous RS kids, live entertainment, and hors d’oeuvres from Gourmet Gang!
Once cocktail hour was over, we ushered guests downstairs and into the theater where the kids performed a 15 minute excerpt from Peter Pan. It was awesome……here’s a video of them practicing with the Hurrah Players:
And here’s the final product:
After the play was over “Peter” (MC Dirk) asked everyone to close their eyes and picture something amazing. While their eyes were closed, they moved the props and opened the curtains to reveal the dinner set up…on stage!
We had three different centerpiece designs…one was a large rustic box (I made the boxes…..skill saw, table saw, chop saw, nail gun, and all…) with lighted branches, then there were small boxes with lanterns and candles, and finally driftwood with lanterns. Florals were donated by HollyDays in Suffolk.
The main band, Ray and the Ultraviolets rocked the night away under a curtain of twinkling lights….sigh….
A huge thank you goes out to Chad from CRQ Photography who donated his time and efforts so that we could have some pictures of the event!! Until next year!!
XOXO
