FREEMASON INN VALENTINE SHOOT

After working with the extremely talented Malie Osborne of Marie Violet Photography for Suzanne and Tristan’s wedding, I knew I couldn’t wait much longer to work with her again.  Late fall, we got together to brainstorm ideas for styled shoots that we could do early 2013 and eventually decided on a Valentine themed shoot.  Over the months, we came up with tons of ideas including a kissing booth, the bride (a professional singer) and her band performing, and other super cool ideas.  These all merged together when I created the “official” inspiration board:

Then, as all weddings/parties/photoshoots go, not everything worked out as planned.  I did not plan to come down with the flu the week before the shoot (ms. cranky pants at the shoot and then I spread it to people at the shoot….sorry guys…), we did not plan for a massive snow storm in early January that eliminated the possibility of doing our outdoor garden shoot/table setting/concert, and we did not plan for male model(s) to back out the night before.  Despite how horrible the week before the shoot sounds, we all pulled together and created something absolutely amazing…something I am extremely proud to have been a part of!!

Thankfully, the Freemason Inn had a gorgeous indoor set-up option that we decided to switch to the morning of the shoot…I re-arranged some furniture and hanging art, kicked a few guests out of the room (after they finished their breakfast, of course), and went to town setting up for the shoot while Hair by Alice and Makeup by Vega were glamming the girls up.  Here are some shots of the hair and makeup…and the gorgeous bouquet by Palette of Petals!!

An overall view of the room…cake table, dining table, escort mirror, and fireplace.

Some more room shots with the B&G and detail shots of the table.

The garlands were made by my friend Cara from Perpetual Motion Paper Decor.  She also makes some stunning chandeliers as well!!

For the centerpieces, I dipped the vases in paint and then sprinkled glitter over them to make them a little more unique…I even dip-dyed the napkins!

The graphics suite…another thing I was able to do while quarantined in the house all week!

The bouttonniere and glitter toss baggie…

The absolutely perfect cake by Emily of Patti Cakes.

Heart details everywhere!

Our stunning “bride,” the extremely talented Hilary  and her handsome “groom,” my brother’s friend Chris, whom I coaxed into participating at the last minute (thanks dude!!!).  Bridal gown provided by Maya Couture and Groom’s attire provided by my husband (unknowingly…).

Some more fun with the valentine pops.

and finally, on to the absolutely freezing outdoor shots!

The faux kiss…

Wait, we have to do the real thing?! Ok…
