Cheeeers to the freakin weekend…I’ll drink to that.

Yes, Rihanna said it best.  Here’s some more amazing drink recipes for you to try out this weekend and hopefully use at your next event!!

Sunshine Dazzler

  • 1 part vodka
  • 1 part fresh OJ
  • 1 part fresh mango juice
  • 2 parts dry champagne

  • orange slices

Mix ingredients in a pitcher, adding champagne last & give a quick stir. Immediately serve over ice.

Miami Blush

  • 1 tablespoon grenadine
  • 1 slice ginger
  • 1 star of anise
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 bottle dry sparkling wine

– In a sauce pan over medium heat place all of the ingredients except for the wine

– To serve pour 2 tablespoons into a champagne flute & gently top with sparkling wine
– Garnish if desired

Pear Margarita

  • 1 ounce reposado tequila
  • 1 ounce pear nectar or juice
  • 1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped cilantro, plus 1 small cilantro sprig for garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add all of the ingredients and shake well. Pour into a chilled margarita glass and garnish with the cilantro sprig.

Green Lantern

5 kiwis peeled
1 bunch of mint washed and stemmed
4 ounces of white rum
1 ounce of ginger liquer
juice of one lime
4 tablespoons of simple syrup
2 handfuls of ice
sparkling water (optional)

In a blender combine all ingredients except for water. Blend until kiwi is no longer chunky, about a minute. Strain liquid through a very fine mesh strainer. This is completely optional. Staining the cocktail makes for a more smooth drink. Pour into chilled martini glasses and garnish with a sprig of mint. Topping of the cocktail with a bit of sparkling water will lighten up the cocktail just a bit. I tend to top everything off with a bit of sparkling water.

Strawberry Watermelon Cooler

4 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Strawberry Liquor (any berry or pomegranate works)
juice of 1 lime plus slices for garnish
1 pound watermelon chunks
2 cups ice plus more for glasses
strawberries for garnish

Blend ingredients until frothy.  Pour over ice, garnish & sip until cool.

Spring Breeze

  • 4 tablespoons lemongrass simple syrup
  • 8 ounces crop cucumber vodka
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • 1 cucumber sliced for garnish
  • lemongrass stalks for garnish
  • sparkling water
  • lots of ice

– combine vodka & lemongrass syrup in a glass with lots of ice and a few slices of lime.
– top with sparkling water, stir gently with lemongrass stalk & garnish with cucumber.

** To make the lemongrass syrup disolve 1/2 cup suger and 1/2 cup water over medium heat along with a chopped stalk of lemongrass. Let simmer for 10 minutes – don’t let sugar brown or boil. Allow to cool & remove lemongrass pieces. Lemongrass syrup can be kept for a week in the refrigerator.

George’s Folly

  • 3 ounces Dry Gin
