Cape Hatteras Wedding | Monica & Josh

This Cape Hatteras Wedding holds a special place in my heart- because it’s my little sister’s wedding!

Growing up, I never really thought about marriage…didn’t have my dream wedding planned out, never played bride and groom dress up, and really never even entertained the idea of ever being married.  Which in turn means I NEVER thought about the fact that my little sister would someday get married too.  Well this past fall, that day came and I was lucky to play the roles of Maid of Honor, Wedding Coordinator, Florist, Graphic Designer, Makeup Artist, and Photographer.  Oh!  And I was 5 months pregnant.  I’m not even kidding…she’s lucky I love her!

Monica and Josh have been dating for yearssss…they even have a daughter together, my beautiful niece Lilliana, named after our great grandmother (my daughter is named after our grandmother–we like tradition!).  Josh is a great father and his level-headed easy-going personality perfectly balance out my sister’s goofy sense of humor and OCD cleanliness (we Moses kids are all freaks.)  We were happy to finally add him to the family!  Here are some pictures from their big day this past September.

The escort cards, displayed on an barn door that I saved from a slave house that was being torn down (no lie).

The head table centerpieces were wood boxes made from our fence that blew down in one of the hurricanes.

The second centerpiece was a metal lantern, sea fan coral, and driftwood trio.  Cookies bakes and decorated by my mom!
